AROUND Busnant

There  are so many things that you are able to experience in the area, we are close to the 3 towns of Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells and Rhayder which all offer something different for your stay.

We have the beautiful Elan Valley only 13 miles away in the market town of Rhayader, Whether you just fancy a leisurely stroll or a challenging hike Elan has something for everyone. There is open access over most of the 70 square mile Estate, and there are over 80 miles of designated rights of way. There are many walks and trails with a good mixture of lengths to cater for all, including nature trails and scenic walks. Rhayder is also home of the Red Kite Feeding Station where 100s of Red Kites are fed at Gigrin Farm red kite feeding centre 365 days a year, and have been for over 23 years.  You can also experience Pony Trekking in the beautiful Elan Valley, taking in different routes through the hills, valleys, rivers and woodlands each day, all levels of riding ability from novice to advanced riders are catered for.

We are a 5 minutes drive from the spa town of Llandrindod Wells.  The community have worked really hard of the past couple of years to improve the attractions in the town.  The lake has recently been given a new lease of life with the come-back of the Paddle Boats and the addition of  the Princes Avenue Leisure Park, it contains lots of activities for all of the family including Crazy Golf, Giant Chess or Draughts, Table Tennis, Snakes & Ladders, Table Football, Tetherball, Hopscotch, Swingball, Boules and others.  The site also has barbeques, picnic tables and benches so is suitable for groups to attend.  Llandrindod is also home to the Llandrindod Wells Heritage Trails, Swimming Bath, the Radnorshire Museum and a stunning Golf Course.

Builth Wells is probably known best for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show Ground, the showground hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the largest agricultural show in the UK, with four-days packed full of competition, attractions, displays, activities, live music and shopping.  You can also attend the out-door cinema experiences, annual Winter and Spring Fair and much more.  You can also attend the Wyeside Arts Centre and catch the latest film, take a walk along the Wye Valley Trail, swim in the swimming bath, play a round of golf or even take a Welsh Overland Safari.

If you're looking for a bite to eat (or just a drink) when you are out and about there are plenty of places to stop in whichever town you are in.
